Self-portrait
Charming, no?

I’m a jack of many trades, trying to master one or two. I am currently a student at the University of Missouri–Columbia, on track for degrees in Information Technology and Media Convergence Journalism.

I’m a self-confessed web addict and obsessive reader of webcomics and blogs. I love taking pictures and writing. (I’ve been blogging long before it was the cool thing to do.) I do a little bit of everything and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Variety is the spice of life, eh?

Professionally, I’m a web developer working in and around the journalism industry. (Someday I’d love to get into some computer-assisted reporting projects. I’ve got plenty of years ahead of me.)

By day, I work for Plus1 Media, a search-engine optimization and marketing firm. I also work for the Maneater Student Newspaper, the official student newspaper at the University of Missouri and a consistent winner of the Pacemaker and Online Pacemaker Awards, often considered the “Pulitzer of student journalism.”

By night, I’ve helped build and manage websites for various local and student organizations. I’ve also been a barback at a local bar and concert venue.

Somewhere in between there I’ve been known to wander downtown, take photos, tear it up and play some DDR, and dabble in a little DotA. I also have an unhealthy obsession with baseball — I dare you to ask me about it.
